Crane Beach 7/14/09 Striped bass Fishing MA 29 inch striped bass fly fishing.
7/14/09 5% of my theories are 100% right all the time! My theory was that the Fly Fishing Guys would do better than any plug guy at Cranes right now. Therefore, to put my theory to the test I grabbed one of the better fisherman & Fly Guys I knew in the area. I dragged Skip Montello on a Kayak over to Crane Beach & 20 min into the trip Skip landed a 29-inch striped bass on the trickster! F!#@n Fly Guys they are so smart!

Nice vid!
You should have submerged the fish under water and moved him back and forth to get water through his gills, this would have increased his survival rate.
All in all, great catch and release though.
he could of sacrificed the fly for the fish, the bass would of been fine though he probably still was.
